A PROJECT IN PROGRESS

I’ve spent a long time thinking about how we could create a project that captures and conveys the qualities and experiences we’ve come to value so deeply. It truly marked a shift in life. From the very first moment I arrived in the lush mountain village, with its sapphire-green water, something changed. I found time to sit in the centuries-old timber cabin, where I began visualizing the stories that must have taken place a hundred years ago. The scent of wood, flowers, and grass. The soft hum of summer outside. Dust swirling in sunbeams streaming through the uneven, hand-blown glass in the windows. The silence and calm filled me. I felt, finally, like I was enough. The stress melted away.

Over the years, the desire to create a project about this village and its traditions—something that has meant so much to us—has grown stronger and stronger. I often find myself longing to return. As an analog photographer, deeply devoted to craftsmanship and quality, I felt a calling to shine a light on those who carry on quietly and with care. Tirelessly and attentively. People who hold important traditional knowledge, passed down through generations—but now at risk of fading away.
