Sápmi Part III – A peak into Marja Mortenssons kingdom
I have had the pleasure of spending time with the extremely talented Marjá Mortensson , and got the chance to see a part of her kingdom. Marjá is a part of the Southern Sami people and their reindeer heard is situated at the gates of Sápmi in the south. Some of the images are taken in a reconstruction of Daniel Mortensson’s gamme, a Sami activist who fought for Sami rights in the beginning of the last century, and some are taken on her famaly's land. I have never experienced it before in my life. But a beautiful large bird came and sat on her hand. Out in the wild. What are the chances I stand there with a big Leica in my hand! :-)
